Description
Case of 500rds of 7.62x54R mm Soft Point ammunition.
The power and accuracy of Mosin Nagant rifles make them obvious candidates not only for sniping and long range target shooting but for hunting deer and other game as well. Soft point 7.62x54R ammunition like this load from Silver Bear is a cost-effective way to harvest animals; the exposed lead tips expands (or “mushrooms”) for a clean kill but does not fragment and damage edible meat or trophies.
Each cartridge in this bulk priced case of 500 (divided into 25 boxes of 20 rounds each) fires a 203-grain soft point bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2306 feet per second. Compared to other 7.62x54R ammo this load trades velocity for a heavier bullet and deeper penetration; therefore it excels in particular against larger deer and other targets of above-average size.
Silver Bear ammo is manufactured by the Barnaul Machine Plant in Barnaul Russia; it uses zinc plated steel cases and non-corrosive Berdan primers.
